• Remove the crankshaft with the special tool.

09920-13120: Crankcase separating tool

NOTĘ:

* Keep ail the tool arms parallel to the crankcase surface.

INSPECTION

GEARSHIFT SHAFT

•    Inspect the gearshift shatt tor bends and damage.

•    Inspect the return spring for damage.

GEARSHIFT CAM DRIVEN GEAR.^H\\>^V

• Inspect the pawls, springs and_pins fordamage. V

TRANSMISSION

•    Inspect the gear teeth, claws, and gearshift grooves for abnormal wear and damage.

•    Inspect the bushings and splines for abnormal wear and dis-coloration.
