b. Enlarging the sleeve. Measure the new armhole and notę the increase. Tracę off your sleeve Błock and out it out with a margin all round. Slash the Błock down the Front linę to the wrist. Open the slash at the sleeve head by half the armhole increase, and pastę down onto paper. Add a quarter ot the increase to each seam linę on either side of the sleeve at BP. Redraw the sleeve head curve and new seam lines.

The tapering gap will maintain the narrow wrist. For a wider wrist open the slash equally along its whole length, or flarę it (Fig 26b).

When adapting the sleeve Błock, the SG normally remains along the Basic linę. Provided enlargement and fullness are divided fairly evenly - half on FL and a quarter on each Back seam edge - the balance of the sleeve will be maintained.

The Back Point on the bodice remains at the same position, so the SP on an enlarged sleeve will move backwards a little, as shown. Check the length SP-BP on the back bodice, add 0.5 cm and mark the new SP on the sleeve.
