Assembling instruction

-    Ali boats can be built in two versions - with simplified deck, or with complete inside.

-    The model can be upgraded with additional parts available at www.jsc.pl

1-13 Hull framcwork. Assemble fore part of the hull out of part 1 and glue framcs 6-9 from below. At the spots with no tabs connect the deck and the sidcs by gluing tabs 5 front inside. In similar way assemble the after part of the hull 2. Connect the stem by means of strip 4. Glue frame 3 in the fore part - with tabs to the inside of the framcwork. Glue frames 10-13 in marked positions. Connect toge-ther both parts of the hull by gluing frame 3 to part 1. To keep the centre linę of the hull straight, place the join the bottom of the hull on a fiat even surface e.G. on a table.

14-25 Sides and armour belt. Cut out openings marked by scissors in sides 14 and glue the sidcs on the hull framework. Glue the sides so that the spot marked by grey arrow overlaps the deek's offset. Cut the excess of the sides in the bow part. Start gluing sidcs 15 front the stem. Cut the possible excess of the sides amidships. Assemble armour belt as shown in Fig. 2. Firstly glue the armour stif-fenings 16-20 on the sides. Slightly cut a linę in upper part of 21 and bend the part along this linę. that will allow fitting the armour to the stiffenings. In similar way fit part 22. Glue strips 23 and 24 on parts 21 and 22. Glue strips 25 in twos and glue them to the sides where marked by broken linę, behind the fore deck.

26,27 After deck. Glue on the after part of the framework. Glue boxes 27 in front part of the deck.

28,29 Catapult. Glue strip 28 on the deck. behind the deck offset. Assemble part 29 as a box and glue it on strip 28.

30 Fore deck. Glue it on the upper part of the hull. The upper parts of the sides should protrudc before the deck offset about 1 mm abo-ve the deck.

31-36 Deckhouses amidships. Assemble deckhouses 31-34 as bo-xes and glue them in marked positions on deck 26. Roli supports of platform 35 and also glue them to the deck. Connect rear corner of deckhouse 31 and neighbouring support 35 by means of walls 36 -Fig. 3.

37-41 Torpedo tubes. Assemble according to Fig. 4 and glue on the deck, between supports 35 - Fig. 3.

42-51 Row cutters. Cutters may be assembled in two ways: simple (assemble parts 42 and 43) or fuli one (assemble parts 42-51 witho-ut deck 43 according to Fig. 5) and glue to the deck between supports 35 according to Fig. 3.

52,53 After deckhouse. Bend the wali in deck 53 and glue it in the back part of deckhouse 52 according to Fig. 6. Glue the assembled deckhouse in marked position on the deck.

54-56 Deck of 102 mm guns. Glue together parts 54 and 55. Glue the deck on upper surfaces of the midship deckhouses and supports 35. Glue railing 56 in the front part (Fig. 7).

57-61 After deckhouse. Glue deck 57 on the upper surface of the after superstructure. Assemble deckhouse 58 as a box and glue it on deck 57. Glue together parts 59 and 60 and glue them on deckhouse 58. Glue railings 61 on the fore part of the after deckhouse (Fig. 6).

62-66 Fore funnel base. Glue together parts 63 and 64. In similar way glue parts 65 and 66. Glue the assembled parts to box 62. Glue the assembled base on deck 55.

67-69 Deckhouse. Assemble part 67. The cut-outs in upper edges of this part are for mounting bases of boats 68, glucd together in twos. Glue the boats' bases and glue roof 69 on the upper part of the deckhouse. Glue the prepared deckhouse on deck 55, behind the funnel base (Fig. 8).

70,71 Deckhouse and after funnel base. Assemble as boxes and glue on deck 55 so that the font part of the funnel base 71 is pushed into the cut-out of rear wali of deckhouse 70.

72,73 Shelter for 102 mm guns staff. Assemble as boxes and glue on the deck (Fig. 7).

74,75 Armour shields. Glue bottom shields 74 and upper ones 75 according to the description: „a" - from the side of bow to „c”-frorn the side of stem (Fig. 3 and 7).

76-81,A 102 mm guns. Assemble the guns according to Fig. 9, add barrel madę according to template A and glue them to deck 55. Don't postpone gluing the guns to the deck for late, as it would make the assembling of the AA guns impossible.

82-85 AA guns platform. Glue together parts 82 and 83. Glue railing 84 around the front part of the platform and 85 around the rear one. Glue the platform on shelters 72, 73 and deckhouse 70.

86-94 Fore funnel. Assemble according to Fig. 10. Slightly shape grate 93, by pressing from the unprinted side a metal bali on a soft layer - e.G. on a matt for cutting things out. Glue the assembled funnel on base 62.

95-1033 After funnel. Assemble like the previous one and glue on base 71. Fasten skid B.

104-106 Superstructures. Assemble according to Fig. 11 and glue in the back part of platform 83.

107,108 Ventilators. Assemble as boxes and glue: 107 on platform 83 and 108 on the after deckhouse - Fig. 1. Shaped wali of the ven-tilators should be directed towards the stem.

109-112 Boxes. Assemble and glue on platform 83 (Fig. 1).

113 Floats’ bases. Bend the part as shown by the arrows and glue it to the after deck and to the side walls of the after superstructure (Fig. 6). The spot for gluing the bases to the deckhouse is marked on the walls by double linę.

114-117 After stations of rangefinders. Roli and glue strips 114 as tubes. Join together dises 115,116 and glue them to tubes 114. Wrap railing 117 around the assembled part - the base of tubę 114 should be at the same levcl as the bottom edge of the railing (Fig. 12).

118 Pipę. Bend, cut out and join together both parts 118. Glue them to the upper platform of the after deckhouse - on the left of ventila-tor 108 and to the left side of the after funnel - where marked by a eircle. The tubę may be madę out of wire of proper diameter and painted (Fig. 1).

119-171 Fore deckhouse. Assemble according to Fig. 13.

172-192,C Rangefinders. Assemble three pieces out of parts: 172-178 on the left of the forward superstructure, 179-185 on the right and 186-192 on the upper platform of the after superstructure (Fig. 13).

193-195 After rangefinder. Assemble like the main rangefinder. The only difference between the rangefinders is lack of the platform and ladder at the after rangefinder.

196-202,1) Turrets of the main artillery. Roli and glue strips 196 as rings. Glue them on the decks in following order: "A" on bow, “B” above “A”, “X" third from bow and “Y" fourth. Keep the same order while assembling the turrets: that means turret with “A” -first from the bow and turret with "Y” - last from the bow. The turrets may be assembled as rotating ones - in this case cut out openings in dises 197. Glue the dises on tubes 196. Perforate openings in turret mounts 198 and bend the tabs and the front wali upwards. Form part 199 so that the upper armour of the turret is slightly convex along the part. Glue assembled part 199 with mount 198. Glue shaped back wali 200. In case of rotating turrets glue rings out of strips 201 and 202 to the mount. Form 12 barrels according to template D and glue them into openings madę earlier in the front walls of the turrets. The central barrel in each turret should be drawn back at 1,8 mm in relation to the edge barrels.

203-206 Observation stations. Assemble according to Fig. 13. 207-210 Stations for 20 mm single guns. Glue dises 207 and 209 on the deck near the catapult and wrap railings 208 and 210 around them.
