It was recognlzed both In the grty flne-grained fabrics of category D. and In the ffne day producta of category H (Fig. 33:8). Two characterfsllc features of this gralned ware for dally use wers the pltch coatfng of Its neck and Ita deep roughened surfaco, although smoother forms whlch wers without any further treatment were also produced. The grey flne-grained ware was wldely spread throughout the oppldum. The sampling of features proved Its equal occurrence both withln the entrance area as well as In the border zones of the central area (Parts I and II). A dlstribution of slmflar density was (dentlfled withln settlement features at the balley, along the entire length of the eastern slope cut through by the gas trench (Part III). Grey fine-gralned pottory was also present In the remote group of features along the north Circuit of the bailey foiilfication (1984 excavatlon), and it also occurred outside the oppidum ramparts (features 290,291 of Part IV).
