Step 9:

Fold over the railings on pieces B2 and B3; place therii under a weight until they are dry. When the pieces can again be handled, examine the score marks carefully; there are a lot of folds on these two pieces, and they must be done properly (see fig. 9). B2 has a joiner mark that corresponds to the pair of marks on Al; B3 has two joiner marks that correspond to the pair of marks on A2 (there are also some handy position numbers for your use). Apply glue to the tab with the joiner mark on B2, so that Al fits snugly against the bottom of the railing on the wali piece. Hołd in position until the glue sets, then proceed—again, slowly—until B2 is joined to Al; repeat with B3 and A2. Then turn the model upside down, apply glue to the longer wali tabs on B2 and attach them to BI on the inside. Check alignment carefully; the railings should fit snugly against the roof assembly, and the horizontal detail should match. Let dry.

Step 10:

Wall panels B4 and B5 attach to Al-2 the same way BI and B2 did. Notę joiner marks and position numbers; make surę the correct wali gets glued to the correct portion of the roof. And check the alignment before you set the assembly aside to dry thoroughly.

Step 11:

The two pieces marked B14 are origami marvels that, when folded correctly, form smali bridgelike structures. Apply glue to the inside of the railings and press them in place; a book will hołd them down until they dry (see fig. 11), and when that happy time comes, you will be able to fold over the ends and join them to the sides and corners. Make surę all the edges are sąuare and flush. Let dry. Next roli the central portion (the part with all the smali, pointed tabs) of the two pieces marked B13 around a broomstick; apply glue to the ends of one of the bridgelike structures and, checking alignment carefully, attach both ends of B13 to each end of B14 (notę alignment marks). Hołd until set. Repeat with the other pair of parts. Next, fold wali piece Bil as indicated and glue the railings atop Bil over and against themselves. Let dry. Then, working on a hard, fiat surface, apply glue to the tabs on one side of a B13 piece and press in place inside Bil; check alignment and make surę the arch fits flush and the curves match. Repeat with the other side. Place a weight on the assembly to hołd it in place until dry. Next, apply glue to the appropriate tabs on roof piece B9 (see assembly illustration) and insert B9 into Bil so the edge of the roof piece fits flush to the bottom of the railings on Bil. Hołd until set. Repeat with second B13 piece, wali piece B12 and roof piece B10.

Step 12:

Fold and glue the railings on pieces B6 and B7. Weight until the glue dries. Next, apply glue to the front wali tab on the B9-11 structure and attach the B6 piece at the front alignment mark (see fig. 12). Check the alignment carefully and match the detail. Press in place and hołd until the glue sets. Next, add glue to the back of the long tab on Bil; check alignment, then press in place. Let dry. Repeat this process with B7 and the B10-12 structure. When the glue has dried, attach B6 to A3 so that A3 abuts the bottom of the railing on the wali piece. When dry, turn the model upside down and join the edge of B6 to B4 at the corner, checking alignment and matching the detail as you work. Repeat with the other side, attaching B7 to B5.

Step 13:

Fold and glue the railings on B8; weight and let dry. Remove the center areas between the columns of the portico piece, B16. Fold and glue the top and sides to form a shallow boxlike shape. Attach piece B15 to the base of the columns so the top of B15 is flush with the bottom of the columns (see fig. 13), creating a sort of floor behind the columns. B17 folds and glues into a tentlike shape; set aside until thoroughly dry. Apply a layer of glue to the back tabs on B16 and press it in place on the front of B8 (notę the useful alignment marks). The bottoms should be flush and the detail should match. Place a book on B16 and allow to dry. Next, apply glue to the back tabs on B17; position it atop B16 and against B8 to A3 along the roof tab. When dry, tum the model upside down and carefully join the side tabs.
