Installation
Installation
1. Slacken camshaft sprocket bolt 1/2 tum [16]. Tap sprocket gently to loosen it from taper.
NOTĘ: Spiocket shouid tum freely without tilting.
2. Ensure crankshaft has not moved.
3. Fit timing belt in anti-clockwise direction, starting at crankshaft sprocket. Ensure belt is taut between sprockets.
4. Slacken tensioner bolt [8].
5. Tum tensioner pulley until pointer has moved approximately 3 mm to the right [17]. Use tool No.3355 [9].
6. Slacken tensioner bolt until pointers aligned [18].
7. Tighten tensioner bolt to 25 Nm [8].
8. Install:
o Timing belt lower cover [7], o Crankshaft pulley [6]. Lightly tighten centre bolt [2],
9. Ensure timing marks aligned [3] or [19].
10. Tighten camshaft sprocket bolt [16], Tightening torque: 30 Nm +90°
11. Remove camshaft setting bar [14].
12. Fit camshaft rear sprocket. Fit bolt and washer [13]. Tighten bolt until sprocket can just be tumed by hand.
13. Install:
o Injection pump belt. o Tensioner spring [11].
14. Slacken tensioner nut to tension belt [10],
15. Ensure timing marks aligned [3] or [19] & [4],
16. Hołd camshaft rear sprocket. Use tool No.3036 [12], Tighten bolt to 160 Nm [13].
17. Tum crankshaft 1/2 tum clockwise. Tighten tensioner nut to 45 Nm [10].
18. Tum crankshaft 1 1/2 turns to TDC on No.1 cylinder. Ensure timing marks aligned [3] & [4].
19. Recheck belt tension. Ensure pointers no morę than 3 mm apart [17].
20. Fit new crankshaft pulley centre bolt [2], Lightly oil threads. Tightening torque: 200 Nm + 270" (3/4 of a tum).
21. Fit crankshaft pulley bolts [5]. Tightening torque: 20 Nm +90".
22. Install components in reverse order of removal.
