SpaceShipOne

In June 2004, SpaceShipOne became the first privately owned piloted craft to travel into space morę than once.

SpaceShipOne was carried to 9 miles (15 km) above Earth by the White Knight aircraft. Once released, it ignited its rocket engines and moved off into space.
