■ Annę Frank was an ordinary Jewish teenager living in Amsterdam during the Second World War (1939-1945).
■ Her family hid from the Germans for two years in tiny attic rooms.
■ During this time Annę kept an
account of their daily life in her diary.
■ In 1944 the Franks were arrested and sent to concentration camps. Annę, her sister, and mother died in the camps.
■ After the war, Anne's diary was returned to her father, who later published it.
■ The building where the Franks hid is now the Annę Frank Museum.
