Annę Frank was an ordinary Jewish teenager living in Amsterdam during the Second World War (1939-1945).

Her family hid from the Germans for two years in tiny attic rooms.

During this time Annę kept an

account of their daily life in her diary.

In 1944 the Franks were arrested and sent to concentration camps. Annę, her sister, and mother died in the camps.

After the war, Anne's diary was returned to her father, who later published it.

The building where the Franks hid is now the Annę Frank Museum.
