SECOND SIDE

Rnds 1 and 2: Work same as First Side: 12 sps.

Rnd 3 (Joining md): Ch 1. sc in same st. ★ i ch 3. sc in next ch-4 sp. ch 4. slip st in top of sc iust madę. ch 3. skip next hdc, sc in next sc. ch 3. 4 sc in next ch-6 sp. ch 3. holding Snowflakes with wrong sides together and matching sts. slip st in corresponding ch-6 sp on First Side. ch 3, slip st in sixth ch from hook. 4 sc in same sp on Second Side. ch 3. skip next sc t. sc in next sc: repeat from ★ 4 times morę. then repeat from t to t once; join with slip st to first sc. finish off.

FINISHING

Wash Snowflake using a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly. Roli piece in a clean terry towel and gently press out the excess moisture. Lay piece fiat and allow to dry completely.

Place uninflated balloon between First and Second Sides and inflate until Snowflake is filled. Knot the balloon.

Paint fabric stiffener onto all parts of both sides of Snowflake except centers and joinings.

Position the components of the Snowflake as symmetrically as possible and allow to dry completely.

Burst and remove balloon.

Press centers together: pin if necessary. Paint fabric stiffener onto centers and joinings: aliow^r to dry completely

Ch 10: join with slip st to form a ring.

Rnd 1 (Right side): Ch 4. 4 tr in ring. ch 3. (5 tr in ring, ch 3) 5 times: join with slip st to fourth ch of beginning ch 4: 30 sts and 6 ch-3 sps.
