Therapy for the subscapularis.
Starting Position: P: Supine; upper arm on couch with elbow flexed 90°; thorax may be stabilized to couch with a belt. T: Standing obliąuely facing P's right side.
Grip: T’s left hand stabilizes P's upper arm against the couch. T's right hand grips medial side of P's forearm just above the wrist.

Procedurę: Using this grip, T gradually rotates P's shoulder until fuli lateral rotation is attained.
Stimulation of Antagonists: T retains grip. T then asks P to move further in the direction of stretching, and resists that movement to stimulate P’s antagonists.
Notes: Stretching may also be performed with P’s upper arm held in various degrees of abduction.
A firm cushion placed under P’s right scapula will push his shoulder girdle ventrally, thus preventing undue strain on the pectoralis major.
