This design symbolizes the sacred Phoenix - the mythical bird of matchless splendor and longevity, which is consumed by fire and rises reborn from its own ashes. Its energy is one of regeneration and renewal, symbolized by the creative and destructive fire with its continual endings and beginnings.

In ancient China, the małe Phoenix represented happiness, while the female was an emblem of the empress. Together they symbolized marital bliss. Here the warm background recalls the earth from which the fire burns, while the copper threads and beads symboiize the magie of the Phoenix.

The rich red colors within this bargello pattern represent abundant energy, including psychic energy, which magnetically draws others towards its vibration. Its vivid combination of reds brings deep peace and freshness into life. RlGHT: As Phoenix was created for an antiąue firescreen, the bargello pattern selected was a traditional one with some special effects added. A classic carnation pattern was reinterpreted to represent the magical Phoenix bird, its thirteen motifs alluding to both the misfortune and magnificence of this fabled bird.
