STITCHED WITH LOVE

Make a... luggage tag

Step 1

Trim your stitching into a 7.5x9.5cm rectangle and fray the outer rows. Machinę stitch in place to the centre of one of your pattemed pieces.

Step 2

Clip off the top corners of the 9x13cm piece of white card. Tracę this shape onto the reverse of one of your pieces of patterned fabric.

Step 3

Fold the long edges in on each side of your smali fabric strip and press in place. Now fold in half so the folded edges linę up. Machinę stitch along the fold to secure.

Step 4

With right sides in, pin the two fabric pieces together, sandwiching the fabric loop you created in the last step at the top. Machinę stitch along yourtracing linę, leaving the bottom open. Turn right side out, slide in the piece of card and slip stitch closed.

For a faster trnish, stitch your designs on 14 count white aida instead

drawstring

pouch

Step 1

Trim your stitching and a backing piece to your desired size and shape, allowing for 1cm of excess along the sides and 4cm at the top. Fold the right and left-hand edges under on both your stitching and backing pieces, pin and sew. Fold the top edges under, towards the reverse. Pin and sew the bottom of the fold in place, creating a channel.

Step 2

With right sides in, pin and machinę stitch the sides and bottom together. Stop stitching just before you reach the top channel. Turn right sides out. Finish by threading cord through the channels at the top.
