Step 1

TRIM your stitching to 2cm beyond the stitched edge on the left, 3cm on the top and bottom, and 1lcm beyond on the right. Pin and sew your medium blue piece to the left side of your stitching.

OPEN out and press the seam fiat. Cut a pale blue polka dot piece to the same size as your sewn piece. Right sides in, pin and machinę sew the two pieces together, leaving an opening forturning.

TU RN right sides out and slip stitchthe opening closed. Fold the right and left-hand sides toward the middle, creating pockets which are about 8cm deep.

USE co-ordinating blue thread and a sharp needle to hand-sew the top and bottom of the pockets. Be surę to only sew through the lining section, Finish with a mother-of-pearl button and white ribbon on each side.
