Painted Clock

You will need an 8" sqtiare wo*xlen clock frame with insert. clock movement: long clock hands (optional); primer, elear acrylic sealer; black. btirnl sienna, coral. dark green. green. pink. rosę. tan, wbite, and yellow acrylic paints; smali stencil brush; '/»" fiat bnisb; painters masking tape; tracing paper. transfer paper:

detalls with roso. ftiint flower centers yellow, Paint leaves green; highlight with whlte Paint leaf dotails with dark green. Outline design with permanent pen.

and a black permanent fine-point pen.

2.    Use stencil brush to stipple coral. then

rosę along outer edges of insert. Stipple some yellow Into the roso to sołten    ' C-HT*

Stipple a little wbite into the yellow to softer'^{1 2 3 4 5}*^ center of clock face

3.    Read Transferring Paltcrns. page 94 Tracę, then transfer paltem, page 73. to center of insert.

4.    Paint bowl with tan. shade with burnt sienna. Paint flowers pink, shade witłi rosę mixed with pink Add ■> Mask and paint Inner border and sides of clock yellow. For sides of clock. use stencil brush to stipple coral from bottom and white from the top. Paint black dols on sides.

6.    Mask and paint outer border whlte Use 'A" Hat brush to paint black checks In corricrs. Paint evenly spaced checks between corners.

7.    Mask and paint top and bottom of clock green. Use stencil brush to stipple hghlly with yellow.

8.    Apply sealer to insert and dock Replace insert In clock framc and assemble clock inovemenl

Ouilt Biocks

For each błock you will need a 9" squaro ot unbleached muślin, scrap of print fabric for llower. scrap of green labric lor storn and leavcs. scrap of pink fabric lor basc. acetale, black permanent fine-pomt pen. and a pencll.

3.    Cut out each shape. Ieaving a '/<" seam allowance.

4.    Clip inward curves and points up to. but not through. drawn linę. Do not clip outward curves and points.
