1. Measure diameter of ottoman Draw a circlc the determined diameter on freezer paper Mark I" outside drawn linę for pattern.
2. Using pattern. cut two circles from polka-dot fabric
3. Leaving an opening for tuming. sew circles together. Clip curves and turn pillow right side out; press Stuff with fiberfill; hand sew opening closed.
4. Cover button with yellow fabric. Read Tufting a Pillow. page 95. to sew covered button to front and green button to back of pillow.
You will need a 12" square unfinished wooden tray. primer; decoupage glue; black. blue. dark green. green. ivory. pink. red. white. and yellow acrylic paints. paintbmshes; elear acrylic sealer; craft knife; and painters masking tape
I. Read Preparing to Paint and Painting. page 93 Prime tray. Mask and basecoat inside bottom of tray red, inner sides black. and rims and outer sides green
2 Read Painting Designs, pages 93-94. Shade rims and outer sides with dark green. Add red and yellow dots to Inner sides.
3 Using a color photocopier, enlarge porch design, page 92. 150%. Center and decoupage porch design to inside bottom of tray.
4 Make eight color photocopies of porch railing design, page 92. Cut out each piece and decoupage around sides of tray; irim to fit as needed. Allow to dry; cut out handle areas with craft knife.
5. Mask and basecoat inside handles bluc. Paint a white stripe along the middle of each handle. Add pink dots for flowers with the end of a paintbrush handle. Dot center of each flower with yellow; dot leaves
with green.
6. Apply sealer to tray.
You will need a 3-pane window: spray primer. blue. white. and yellow acrylic paints; amber. black, green, ivory. light green. pink. textured elear, and yellow glass ] paints; paintbmshes; black liquid leading paint; elear acrylic sealer; pair.tefs masking tape; tracing paper; rubbing alcohol; tape; and plain white paper
1. Read Preparing to Paint and Painting. page 93. . Use masking tape and plain white paper to protect glass while painting frame. Prime frarne. Paint recesses of each pane white: mask and paint rest of frame blue. I
2. Read Painting Designs. pages 93-94. Freehand white swirls and leaves on frame. Make yellow dots with the end of a paintbrush handle Apply sealer to I frame, remove tape and paper
3. Measure width of windowpane. Read Sizing Patterns, page 94. and enlarge or reduce end pattern on page 91 to fit your window.
4. Cut a piece of tracing paper the same size as each I windowpane. Tracę the sized end pattern on the top and bottom of each sheet. Enlarge flower pattern. page 90. as desired. then tracę in the middle of each sheet iWe used two smali flowers on both outside panes and one large flower on middle pane.) Measure and mark a grid of 2’ tali diamonds behind the flowers. Add a smali circle to each linę intersection.
5 Clean glass with alcohol, allow to dry. With right side toward glass. tape tracing paper pattern behind glass. Tape white paper behind tracing paper for better visibility.
6. Apply leading over pattem lines: allow to dry overnight.
7 Fili in the leaded areas with glass paint. Make sure paint connects to leading lines; use a liner brush if needed. To paint roses, fili rosę area with pink paint. J then mix in ivory paint to highlight. Repeat with Ieave$, using green and light green paints. Allow paint to dry
You will need a heavy-duty wire lampshade frame. paper-backed fusible web; fusible interfacing. red double-fold bias tape; red jumbo rickrack;'/»’ dia. red piping; yellow gingham fabne; scraps of dark green. blue. and yellow felt: scraps of pink and yellow I fabric, fabric glue; three I" dia. split rings; V«" dia spfe ring; 6' length of brass chain; boli cutters: scrap of battmg: scrap of heavy cardboard; tracing paper; hot glue gun; needle-nose pliers; and pinking shears.
