Memory Board Armoire

You will need an armoire with cutout areas in doors; fabric for doors; '// thick foam core sheets; primer; dark green, dark pink, green, light green, orange. pink. white, and yellow acrylic paints: paintbrushes; stencil brush; elear acrylic sealer; black permanent fine-point pen; V«"w black and white ribbon; three glass knobs; heavy-duty office stąpień glazing points; transfer paper; tracing paper; craft glue; thumbtacks; and Mary Engelbreit flower punch-outs.

1.    Read Preparing to Paint and Painting, page 93. Prime armoire, then basecoat green.

2.    Enlarge smali flower. page 43. 154%; enlarge flower with vine, same page, 111% on photocopier. Read Transferring Pattems, page 94. Tracę, then transfer enlarged flower patterns and smali vine pattern, page 43, onto armoire.

3.    Read Painting Designs. pages 93-94. Paint vine dark green.

4.    Basecoat each flower dark pink and each center yellow. Use stencil brush to stipple pink highlights on flower and orange highlights in center. Add white dot to flower center. Basecoat leaves dark green. Stipple highlights light green. Outline with permanent pen.

5.    Paint base of armoire and trim on drawer dark green.

6.    Apply sealer to armoire.

7.    For each fabric panel on sides and front, measure width and height of opening; cut piece of foam core the determined measurements. Cut a piece of fabric 1" larger on all sides than foam core. Wrap fabric over foam core and use Office stapler to sta ple edges

to back.

8.    For meniory board fabric panels, wrap ribbon around panel as desired and staple at back. Glue ribbons together at intersections to secure. Place a thumbtack dipped in craft glue in each desired intersection. Glue flower punch-outs to thumbtacks.

9.    Use glazing points to secure fabric panels into armoire.

10.    Add glass knobs to door front and drawer.

Floor Cloth

You will need a 377?" x 30" pre-primed floor cloth;

22h yds of 7snw red polka-dot grosgrain ribbon; blue, coral, dark green, dark yellow, green, light blue, light coral, light green, light yellow, orange, pink. red, and white acrylic paints; paintbrushes; black permanent pen; elear acrylic sealer; transfer paper; tracing paper; painteds masking tape; and multi-surface craft glue.

1. Refer to Fig. 1 to mark borders on floor cloth ty a pencil. Mask center rectangle and basecoat light yellow. Let dry completely and remove tape.

2.    Mask inner border; basecoat dark yellow. Let dr] completely and remove tape.

3.    Mask outside border. Measure and mark 2" squ; along short sides of outer border. Mark 2" squares along long sides of outer border, leaving 5'A" x 2” rectangles at center. Masking as needed, paint alternating squares white. Let dry completely. Rep< to paint remaining squares light green. Let dry completely and remove tape.

4.    Read Transferring Patterns. page 94. Tracę, th transfer patterns on pages 44-45 to floor cloth as shown in photo. Freehand an US" shaped vine on yellow border. Freehand leaves between each curv

5.    Read Painting Designs. pages 93-94. Paint lett red. Paint flowers and flower centers as desired; highlight by drybrushing a lighter shade of color around flower center. Shade the bottom of flower center by drybrushing with a darker shade of coloi highlight with a stroke of white across the top. Pai flower stems and vines green. Shade edges of vine and tops of leaf veins with dark green. Use light gr to highlight bottoms of leaves on vines and drybri highlights on flower leaves.

6.    Outline designs and borders and add smali dots around letters with permanent pen.

7.    Cut two 20" and two 2772" lengths of ribbon. Center ribbon lengths over edges of center rectani Cut ends diagonally to meet at corners. Glue in pi

8.    Apply several coats of sealer to floor cloth.

Wastebasket

You will need a 674" x I03/V x 872" wooden wastebasket. 7#"w black polka-dot grosgrain ribbo primer, white and yellow acrylic paints, paintbrush four 2" dia. wooden bali feet, elear acrylic sealer, wood glue, craft glue, and a Mary Engelbreit 17" x Pretty Window wali mural.
