CANYAS

FOLLOWING THE CHART

♦    Cut the canvas, allowing a border of 5 cm (2 in). Bind the edges - see Caiwas, page 138.

♦    Outline the shape of the design with a water-proof marker, then draw central horizontal and vertical lines to mark the designs center point.

♦    Spray paint the canvas deep brown.

♦    The chart shows the basie design and should be repeated as necessary.

♦    Thread the two alternating colors belonging to one row, such as red and yellow. Begin at the center of the canvas and work outwards, alternating similarly placed colors, such as the deepest red and deepest yellow shades, and complete these colors in both directions across the canvas. This seąuence should be followed throughout the design.

♦    Place the color not being used to the right of the design to avoid the stitching thread.

STITCHING

♦    For instructions, see Stitching, page 138.

♦    Use two strands of the Madeira Renaissance Wool doubled.
