.Cut a 6" x 20" strip of thin stripe fabric. two 6" x 20" trips of green fabric, two 3" x 20" strips of wide stripe abric. and two 8" x 20" strips of fuchsia fabric.

Malch right sides and use a Vz" seam allowance for all sewing unless ołherwise indicated.

1.    Cut four 67*" x 77«" rectangies of green print fabric and five of solid green fabric.

2.    Sew one solid green rectangle to each short edge of one green print rectangle Repeat. Sew one green print rectangle to each short edge of remaining solid green rectangle.

3.    Arrange sewn strips to form a checkerboard pattem. Sew together along long edges

4 Cut ribbon into four equal lengths. Tie each length into a bow; sew one bow to each corner of center rectangle.

5.    Follow Step 2 of Making and Attaching Welting.

6.    For njffle. cut four 6‘/j" x 36" strips from pink stripe fabric. Sew short ends of strips togetl>er. forming a loop. Matching wrong sides. press loop in half lengthwise.

7.    Baste ³/«" and '/V from raw edges of ruffle. Puli basting threads to gather the ruffle to pillow front, distributing gathers evenly: baste in place.

8.    Cut two 13" x 177:" rectangles of pink stripe fabric for back. Press one long edge of each rectangle

9.    Matching raw edges. sew back pieces to front with finished edges overlapping at center. Clip comers and turn pillow right side out; press. Insert pillow form through back opening.

Button Pillow

Yardages are based on 44/45"w fabric.

You will need 1 yd green ticking fabric. 17* yds of l"w pink polka-dot grosgrain ribbon. 7* yd fuchsia felt. 7ł"-V«" dia. assorted teal buttons. 16" x 12" pillow form. and fabric glue.

Match right sides and use a 7:" seam allowance for all sewing unless ołherwise indicated

I Cut a 21” x 17" piece of green ticking for pillow front and two 13" x 17“ pieces of green ticking for pillow back.

2.    Press one long edge of each back piece 7V to wrong side twice; topstitch to secure.

3.    Matching raw edges. sew back pieces to front with finished edges overlapping at center. Clip comers and turn pillow right side out; press.

4.    Topstitch 2" from all edges. Sew buttons to front of pillow randomly.
