Comments to assembly sketches and hints about morę difficult questions of assembly

Slip-paths and cross-heads of inner-cylinders. parts 9a-h:

First put slip-paths in upper slots of both inner-cylinders, then put on cross-heads without glueing, at last snap into notches ot part 9.

Funnel. part 52:

Earlier versions of the S 3/6 operated a lower funnel. The given one may be shortened along the linę in the gray area to make a lower funnel.

Smoke-chamber-door at boiier-front. parts 54:

The smoke’-chamber-door can me madę mbveable. To achieve this, tiny rolls of cardboard should be attached as hinges to the left side (in driving direction) of the boiler front. Attach smali pieces of wire to parts 54f and slip them into the tiny rolls. Moveable handles can be madę by punching smali pins from inside to outside of the boiler-ring (part 25). Glue handles (parts 54g) to the pins after slight shortening of the handles.

Axle-rings. parts 59d. 62d. 65d:

simple distance-rings, placed without glueing between wheels and outer side of frame.

Crankshaft. parts 64 A - L:

Close parts B ,B ,C / E, E, F and I, I, J to oval bodies. Glue shaft D into body B-B. Slip into other opening of body B-B supporting shaft A. Assemble body E-E to shaft D, turned by90°.Fix shaft G into other opening of body E-E. Don't forget ring H. Slip body I-I onto shaft G and supporting shaft A, only glue to shaft G. Set aside this assembly to wait for hardening of the glue. Then remove supporting shaft and attach axle-pieces K and L.

Wheels. parts 59. 62, 65. 71. 74:

First cut out the spaces between the spokes, then cut out the wheel itself. Assemble inner rings 59a close to the edge of the spokes. Assemble surface-rings 59c beneath. Attach finał rings 59d and 65d joining. Cover wheel-center with hubs 59e. Put through driving-pins 59c and 65c and let the glue dry weli.

Brake-linkage. part 90

Adjust between the inner brake-block side and fix them.

Wheel disc of the tender, parts 27c

Attach to place indicated to limitate side-clearnce of the axles.
