A portion of the J.A.P. Works is given ovcr to holding a large stock of replacement engine parts, and a fuli supply of spares for evcry type of J.A.P. engine is carried. Our aim is to get the rcquircd part off to a customcr willi the minimum of delay, and attcntion to the following points will help us considcrably, and cnsurc speedy service :—
1. The engine number, with all symbolsandor letters, should always bc quoted, and fuli particulars of the engine should be given.
2. If possihle, pattern parts should be sent, cs|>ecially in the case of old type engines. Instructions concerning such parts, however. should be enclosed with them, and not be sent separately. The name and address of Sender should also be atfixed to the pattcrns. and one name only should be used in all correspondencc.
3. We must, according to generał Business methods, be in posscssion of remittance before we can despatch any parts. Time therefore will be savcd if the correct amount and postage is sent with order. Failing this a Pro Forma Invoicc will bc sent, and the order dclaycd until the remittance is rcccivcd.
4. Customers claiming replacement of parts under our Guarantec must return the allegcd <lefective parts. carriage paid, for our inspcction. quoting at the same time the engine number and the datÄ™ of purchasc. A report will bc sent out at once giving our dccision.
To meet the competition in “ Pirated Parts” which are not of our manufacture, we have decided to supply certain spare parts, when desired, in a cheaper grade materiał at a reduced price. Thcse parts however, do not carry our customary guarantee and we strongly recommend customers to insist on genuine J.A.P. Standard Spares. These parts will be marked J.A.P. No.2.
