DOUGHCRAFT
8Fold the cotton fabric in half and cut two rectarigles measuring 90 x 115mm {3/ x 4/in). Stitch three sides of the rectangles together, leaving a searri of 6mm (/in). The side which is open is the top of the body.
Tum the fabric so that the seam is iriside, and stuff the body with the fibrę filling. Stitch the shoulder seams together leaving a 13mm (/in) opening in the top of the body.
Using doubled-up thread, sew through the holes in the salt dough and make a few firm stitches in the body to attach them.
Using doubled-up thread again, make a few stitches, one on top of the other, in the centre back of the body. Push the needle into the back of the body and bring it up through the 13mm (/in) opening at the top. Thread the needle through the hairpin on the head, and push it down into the neck opening and out through the centre back of the body (keep the thread loose at this stage).
