Abstract
The paper presents a numerical model designed to simulate and assess the suspension of prototype city electric bus. The prototype bus with a complete powertrain and battery power supply system is a structure completely Polish, resulting front the research project carried out by a consortium composed of AMZ Kutno and Department of Vehicles and Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering ofTechnical University of Lodź. The article discusses the tasks of the suspension system with structural guidelines. It was pointed to the impact of the suspension structure for passenger comfort and taken into account the impact of vibration freąuency on the human body. Next it was presented adopted digital model of the suspension. Discusses the conditions applied restrictions and simplifications. Sample results of the simulations shown in the graphs taking account of the input data.
