niolasses and 0.5 g/L K.2HPO4 was suitable and led to spore concentration of 1.3 x 10 CFU/ml. In 2 L-fermentor, spore concentrations at 48 hr were 1.78 x 104 and 4.03 x 10s CFU/ml for batch and fed-batch process respectively. Addition of molasses during fed-batch cultivation could enhance celi growth on the other liands could impede spore formation. Therefore, in 75-L fed batch experiment, no molasses was fed after the stationary phase was reached, resulting in the spore concentration of 5.73 x 10y CFU/ml at 48 hr.
