Lubrication and Maintenance Services

An interval of 10 000 km (6000 miles) between maintenance services now applies to all Volkswagens of the 1966 model year. Years of research and numerous im-provements to the running gear and engine have render-ed this step forward possible.

We have on purpose not abandoned the intermodlate Lubrication Service every 5000 km (3000 miles) - in Types 1 and 3 it is to a great extent limited to an engine oil change. This lubrication service should be carried out in a VW workshop. Only the trained Staff in our VW workshops can ensure that the reliability and road-worthiness of all Volkswagens is supervised. This point is mentioned in particular in the new Service Booklet.

Please help us to retain our customers’ confidence in the “VW Lubrication and Maintenance Services”.
