Subject: Factory Installed Accumulators
Ref: Greer Bladder Type
Field experience has shown that accumulators are often replaced when the accumulator will not hold a
charge. The cause is often misdiagnosed as a bladder leak when the leak is actually due to a valve
stem or valve stem core problem.
Before arbitrarily replacing the accumulator, be sure to check the valve stem and core for leakage
with a soap solution.
WARNING: If the valve stem core is leaking, do not replace it with a low pressure valve stem core
as used in automotive tires.
NOTE: Replacement parts can be purchased from any local supplier which sells Greer
Bladder Type accumulators.
