Consider the CORINE nomenclature; identify three classes which can be accurately

mapped; also identify three classes that can be expected to be exchanged (confused) with
other classes.

Answer

We can assume that classes 1.1.1 (urban fabric), 2.3.1 (pastures) and 5.1.1. (Water-
bodies) will be easily distinguished, while class pairs like 1.1.2 (discontinuous
urban fabric) and 1.4.2 (sport and leisure facilities), 1.1.2 (discontinuous urban
fabric) and 1.2.2 (road and rail networks), 1.4.1 (green urban areas) and 2.3.1
(pastures).
