I always love mountains - this is my favorite region of Poland. In Poland we have three main mountain ranges: Sudeten, Carpathian Mountains and Świętokrzyskie Mountains. All this mountain ranges are in the south Polish, near the border with the Czech Republic and Slovakia. I think that especially worth visiting are the Tatras.
The Tatra Mountains belong to the Carpathian Mountains and this is the highest mountain range in Poland. The highest peak called Gerlach, but the highest point in Poland is Rysy. Rysy is located south of Zakopane. The Tatras are protected by law by Tatra National Park in their territory.
The most important tourist attractions in Polish Tatra are a Kasprowy Wierch, Gubałówka, Giewont (with a famous cross) and an picturesque Morskie Oko Lake. In Zakopane we can visit lot of architectural monuments, for example Old Cemetery on Pęskowe Brzysko and Wyspiański Museum. In spite of this - the most attractive is a natural beauty of the region. In the Tatra National Park you can find a uncommon plant and animal species. Wherever you are in the National Park you may enjoy in peace, the harmony of nature and a fresh air.
Polish mountains are one of the few places where I really like spent holidays. This beautiful region gives me wonderful memory and a feeling of union with nature. I recommend this place for everyone.
