advantages and disadvantages of using internet

First computer was invented over a half century ago in Manchester in 1948. Since then the rat race began. Three years later a very familiar computer was constructed for commercial and home purposes. The era of simplified abaci passed away it has come a new era of complicated, complex and important machines - computers.

A real breakthrough happened in 1980's /in the 80's when two competing with each other computer concern: IBM and Apple arose/appeared in the global market. They have been competing till now. Since 1948 computer industry has changed a lot. Constructors invented many components like CD-ROM, graphic and music card, scanner or printer, but the most powerful one is internet. In the beginning it was created for educational and research centers but as the time went by it was started using for sending e-mails, communicating and now even for exchanging music, films and programs. The most significant advantages of the Internet are: a lot of information about interesting subjects, the hottest news, many newest programs, films, music, opportunity to talk to people from all over the world but on the other hand there are as many disadvantages as advantages are. For example: downloading music, film or programs don't have to be always legal, hanging about in front of computer typing with people in chat rooms could be dangerous for us. Every day billions e-mails and trillions kilobytes of dates are sent on the earth. The biggest companies are using this invention to communicate with other companies. Employers use internet banks to make a transfer to their employees. Such a form of paying is more comfortable not only for employer but also for employees. Many networks of big firm are addicted to the Internet. Many current computers base on this global network and they can't work without it.
