Nowadays, we can encounter many kinds of sporting events like the World Cup or the Olimpic Games. A lot of countries battle with one another to be able to organize them as such undertakings may prove very profitable. The question arises, what are the advantages and disadvantages of being an organizer of such valuable cultural happenings?

First of all, one of the most positive aspects of such a sporting contest are tourist. They spend immense amount of money in order to have fun and in this way bring a particular country or city large profits.

Secondly, the government of the host country is given huge subventions to improve the city's communication, the quality of sports objects, motorways and infrastructure so the comfort of living ameliorates.

Unfortunately, there are also a few disadvantages. Among the group of the real fans of sport, there are always people we can call hooligans. They provoke fights and devastate everything around.

What is more, too many people at one place may cause traffic as they squeeze in the modes of transport and queues everywhere. During the night, the visitors drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes in order to entertain themselves and hardly ever feel obliged to clean up the left rubbish.

To conclude, I am convinced that organizing a sporting event is a favourable occasion to promote the country, support its economy and be a participant of an amazing cultural event, yet one should not forget and therefore prepare for possible drawbacks of such an undertaking.
