MATERIALS
Smooth Worsted Weight Yarn
o 130 yards – Main Color (MC)
Boucle or other Fuzzy Worsted Weight Yarn
o 170 yards – Contrasting Color (CC)
Embroidery floss or yarn for embroidering nose and eyes (black or your choice of color)
Crochet Hook I (5.5mm) – or hook recommended by your chosen yarns
Crochet Hook G (4.0-4.5mm) – or a size or two smaller than the recommended hook

NOTES
Gauge is not important to this project. Just make sure you are using a comfortable hook for the yarn you choose.
An I hook with worsted weight yarn should give you around an 18” blanket square.
Use a size or two smaller than recommended for the lamb’s head and arms to make sure the stuffing doesn’t
show through
You may do the whole blanket in CC instead of switching to MC every other round if you want a fuzzier lovey

EARS
(make 2)
Row1: with CC and I hook, ch 2, 2 sc in first ch (2)
Row2: turn, ch 1, 2 sc in each st (4)
Row3: turn, ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in
last st (6)
Row4-6: turn, ch 1, sc in each st (6)
Row7: turn, ch 1, sc2tog, sc in 2 sts, sc2tog (4)
FO and leave long tail for sewing. Fold in half and sew
onto head.
ARMS
(make 2)
R1: with MC and G hook, magic loop, ch 1, 6 sc into loop
(6) Do not join. Use a stitch marker to hold your place.
R2: 2 sc in each st (12)
R3-5: sc in each st (12)
R6-14: switch CC, sc in each st (12)
Finish off leaving long tail for sewing. Stuff slightly. Sew
ends of arms onto R1 of the blanket on the opposite 3 dc
groups (stars in diagram below)
FINISHING
Center head over top of arms. The nose will be the front
of the head and R20 will be the back – the blanket
should be sewn onto the head at the bottom of the head
(or where a neck would normally be). Sew all along R1
of blanket – including the ch 3 corners and over top
arms using a long strand of your choice of yarn. Weave
in any loose tails
