TAPESCRIPT
A My home is in a small village. It’s the typical
picture most people have of the English
countryside. There are roses in the garden and
the house has a thatched roof. Inside
it’s quite dark because the windows are
very small. The ceilings are low too, so in
the winter it feels very cosy.
B My home is very small but I like it because
I can move around when I want to. I don’t like
staying in the same place for very long so this is
perfect. Sometimes I would like to have more
space because I don’t have enough room for all
my books. In the winter it can be very cold as
well because the heating isn’t good enough.
C My home is on the twentieth floor. I have
fantastic views over the whole of London. It’s
small but very light as the windows are very big.
In the summer it gets too hot because it’s so
high up, but I love it – though I know most
people think I’m crazy to live in the centre of
town.
D My home is on one floor, which is very
important for me because I can’t walk up and
down stairs easily. My sitting room is the biggest
room and has doors which open on to the
garden at the back. In the summer I love sitting
outside in the garden with a nice cup of tea!
E My home is fantastic for the children. They can
make as much noise as they like because we
don’t have any immediate neighbours. We have
a lot of space and the house is always full of
people. It would be impossible if we lived in
a terraced house!
