Brother:
Molly:
Molly, one of the guys from your class was here when you were out. He
wanted to invite you to the school party.
Do you remember his name?
No, he didn’t tell me.
Was he tall with dark wavy hair and a beautiful smile?
No, he had rather fair hair.
Did he have short curly hair and blue eyes?
I couldn’t see his eyes. He was wearing glasses.
Oh, so it was that horrible Jamie. What a shame! I hoped it was
someone else.
1.2. Guide:
The cottage we saw in the morning is an example of typical Tyrol
architecture and so is the church we are going to visit this afternoon.
They are solid, simple and practical. But nobody can say that about this
castle. Look at all these towers and balconies...
1.3. Waiter:

Customer:
What would you like for a starter?
I haven’t decided yet. What would you recommend?
Italian shrimps or Greek salad, perhaps. Or “The Taste of the City” –
it’s a dish of cold meats.
I’ll have the Greek salad, please.

1.4. Molly:
Ann:
Hi, Ann. What happened? You look so happy today.
You won’t believe it but I finally got him. He is so sweet and lovely.
He is black with a white spot on the back and a fluffy tail. He follows
me everywhere and looks at me with his big brown eyes. Look, here he
is. I took this photo with my camera this morning.
1.5. Jamie:
Molly? It’s Jamie. I told your brother that I wanted to invite you to the
party but it wasn’t the real reason I called. And you don’t have to
apologize that you forgot to give me my CD back. It isn’t important. But
could you persuade your friend Ann to go with me to the party?
I would be so happy if you did it.
Zadanie 2.
Girl:
So let’s decide what should be done for our party and who is going to do it. First of
all we must send the invitations. People should know when and where the party is.
Boy:
Carol has already offered to do it.
Girl:
Excellent! What about the posters? Do you think Luke can paint them?
Boy:
You must be joking! He can’t even draw a tree. I thought about Tony. He is quite
good at art.
Girl:
But I suppose Betty is the best of them, so she can do it. Tony has a lot of CDs so he
can be responsible for the music.
Boy:
And what about Luke? To tell the truth, he isn’t good at anything.
Girl:
Oh, he can tidy the mess afterwards.
Boy:
OK. I’ll tell them right now.
Zadanie 3.
Woman: Attention please! Passengers flying to Manchester are kindly requested to go to
gate number 20 instead of gate number 12 as it was previously announced. The
boarding will start in 15 minutes. Take care that none of your hand luggage is left
behind. We apologize for the inconvenience and the short delay.
Zadanie 4.
4.1. May I borrow your pen?
4.2. Is that seat free?
4.3. Where did you buy that scarf?
4.4. Will you dance with me?
