Six BASIS.ed schools were eligible to participate in the OECD assessment (BASIS Chandler, BASIS Flagstaff, BASIS Oro Valley,
BASIS Peoria, BASIS Scottsdale, and BASIS Tucson North). Overall, BASIS students outperformed every educational system
in the world in Math, Reading and Science.
BASIS had a higher percentage of students scoring in the highest proficiency levels than Shanghai (the highest-ranked school
system in the world) and the U.S in every subject.
Data is based on BASIS’s results on the 2014–15 OECD Test for Schools (based on PISA). Results for all other educational systems are from the 2012 PISA
exam. The 2014–15 OECD Test for Schools was designed to enable international benchmarking against results from the 2012 PISA exam.

Performance: Educational Systems were ranked based on an average of the combined individual rankings of the students’
math, reading, and science scores.
Teacher Student Relations: Educational Systems were ranked according to the percent of student agreeing or strongly
agreeing with the following statements:
“I get along well with most of my teachers”; “Most of my teachers are interested in my well-being”; “Most of my teachers
really listen to what I have to say”; “If I need extra help I will receive it from my teachers”; “Most of my teachers treat
me fairly” - Maximum score possible = 100
