Superficial Fascia of the Pes Anserinus
Movie for broad-band (300kbps)
Patient position: supine with the knee
extended.
Apply the base of the Kinesio Tex
below the pes anserinus attachment
of the sartorius, gracilis, and
semitendinosus muscles with no
tension.
Stabilize the base of the Kinesio Tex.
Apply the most inferior tail with light
(25%) available tension along the
border of the gracilis muscle. Apply
the tape with oscillation or shaking.
Apply the next tail with (25%)
available tension along the border of
the sartorius muscle.
As the patient maximally flexes the
knee,apply the next two tails with light
(25%) available tension over the
anterior thigh in an arc over the distal
1/3 of the anterior thigh musculature.
Apply the ends of the Kinesio Tex
with no tension.
