KT Method
Superficial Fascia in the Hip Adductor Muscle Group
Movie for broad-band (300kbps)
Patient position: supine with the knee
extended.
Apply the base of the Kinesio Tex
over the adductor tubercle, as high on
the medial surface of the thigh as
possible.
Stabilize the base of the Kinesio Tex
and apply downward pressure to
increase tissue tension.
Laterally rotate the hip to increase
tissue tension.
Apply the most posterior tail with tape
off tension along the medial border of
the adductor muscle group.
Apply the inside (middle) tails
equidistant to the other tails.
Flex the knee joint to 10 degrees and
apply the most anterior tail to enclose
the lateral border of the adductor
muscle group.
