KT Method
Superficial Fascia of the Forearm Flexor Muscle Group
Movie for broad-band (300kbps)
Patient position: seated with the
elbow extended and forearm
supinated. The wrist should be in the
functional position (30 degrees
extension).
Apply the base of the tape to palmar
surface of the carpal bones.
Fully extend the wrist to increase
tissue tension.
Apply the two outside tails with light
(25%) available tension to cover the
forearm flexor muscle group.
Apply the inside (middle) tails
equidistant to the other tails with light
(25%) available tension, the tails
should cover as much of the anterior
forearm as possible. Apply the ends
of the Kinesio Tex with no tension.
Completed Kinesio Tex application
