Quadratus Lumborum Muscle and Iliotibial Band
Movie for broad-band (300kbps)
Patient Position: Neutral standing.
Apply the base of the tape to the
inferior border of the 12th rib.
With the arm on the affected side in
flexion and trunk in lateral flexion to
the opposite side, apply the upper 1/2
of the tape to the space between the
quadratus lumborum muscle and the
iliac crest.
Next, with the hip joint in flexion and
adduction, apply the lower 1/2 of the
tape to the space between the greater
trochanter and the head of the fibula.
