How to setup an uncommited switch on DM 800

The dish & switch

I have five LNB's on a T90 dish.

LNB 1 = 28,2 east

LNB 2 = 23.5 east

LNB 3 = 19.2 east

LNB 4 = 13 east

LNB 5 = 0.8 west.

I use an 1x8 uncommited switch.

There is one connector for the receiver and there are eight input connectors where you can hookup an LNB.

The input connectors are numbered so I connected LNB 1 to input one, LNB 2 to input two, etc.

The Dreambox

On the remote press the Menu button. Select Setup press OK.

Select Service Searching, press OK.

Select Tuner Configuration, press OK.

Select the Tuner, press OK.

Select Configuration Mode, set it to “Advanced”.
Use the cursor buttons LEFT and RIGHT to change it.

Select Satellite and change it to the desired Satellite.for LNB 1(28.2 East)

Select LNB and set it to LNB1, after you set the LNB the menu will expand.

Prioity = Auto
LOF = Universal LNB
Voltage mode = Polarization
Increased Voltage = no
Tone mode = Band
Diseqc = 1.1 , now the menu will expand again.

Toneburst = None
Commited Diseqc command = None
Fast Diseqc = no
Sequence repeat = no


Command order = Uncommited, commited, toneburst
Uncommited Diseqc command = Input 1
Diseqc repeat = None
Tone Amplitude = 800 mV

Now press OK button. You'll see the “Choose Tuner” menu.
Press OK button. Now set the next satellite(s)

After installing the last LNB in the “Reception Settings” menu press the OK button and then the exit Button.

Select Manual Scan

Tuner = Tuner A (you cannot change it because there is only one tuner in the DM 800)
Type of scan = Single Satellite
Satellite = enter the satellite you want to scan
Network scan = yes
Clear before scan = no (set to “yes” if you want to erase the channels you found during an earlier scan)
Only Free scan = no
Now press the OK button to start the search.

The scan will start.

When the scan is finished, repeat Manual Scan for every satellite/LNB connected to your switch.

I allways use the manual scan, because the automatic scan function is not so accurate.
