The email contact is to become really important for you.
ECU have asked for us to work with them and discuss a topic over the course of the next few meetings. You an your partner will discuss via chat in class and via email or chat outside of class the following questions and then write up what you have discovered. The topic I've chosen is Visiting and the questions and areas for discussion are as follow:
Visiting
If you and your partner were to visit each other's country for a week, what would you want them to see? Customs to observe? Celebrations to participate in? How can they make the most of their visit?
Sub-questions for link day 1: What is the favorite place you've ever visited within your country? Describe the place and your experience there and explain why it is significant to you.
Sub-questions for link day 2: If your partner was going to come and visit your country for 10 days, what should they see (places, things and or events) and why.
Sub-questions for link day 3: If your partner was going to come and visit you for 10 days, what would you show them to help them understand your life?
Sub-questions for link day 4: Choose one culturally significant event in your culture and describe it in detail. If your partner were to participate in this event, what would you recommend they do to prepare for it and/or make the most of their experience?
Sub-questions for link day 5: Given the information your partner has shared with you and any additional knowledge of your partner's country, if you were to visit their country, what would you like to see, do or try and why?
For link day 6: Work on your final product. Your final product should address the main topic questions.
What you should think about is asking and answering the above questions with as much information as you can. This should involve a piece of writing and maybe links to You Tube clips or something else - perhaps your own photos - to illustrate the point. It is important to consider the top questions, especially: "How can they make the most of their visit?"

We will ask you to write up your project for Zaliczenia and have a presentation to other students in semester 2 of what you've done. IF you think seriously, you can use a lot of the discussion for your diploma project next year and do cultural studies on intercultural communication between you and the ECU students.
