Pam's Round Robin Doily, RR#5, January 1996 - January 1997

You may view the original completed doily (42K). It's completed size was over 9 inches in diameter (so it didn't all fit on the scanner bed!).

We used Size 40 LBH thread (dark purple color, yum!)

Repeat 5 times, joining rings of last round to rings of the first round.

Round 2 - Stephanie Peters, Manchester, England

Ch 3x4, rep around, j to 2nd, 6th, and 10th p's

Ch 3x5, rep around, j to area where previous round of chains joined to inner round.

Ch 3x6, rep around, j to same areas as previous chain

Round 3 - Di Michelson, Findlay, OH

Ring 4 ds, join to next open p of prev. round, 4 ds. Close. RW.

Chain 5 ds, RW.

Ring 4 ds, j to next p, 4 ds. Close.RW.

There's more than one spot you can start. I chose to start with the series of small rings and chains since they're easy.

Shuttle and ball thread. You'll be happier if you start with a continuous thread!

R 6+6+(to previous round - 1st picot of a pair) 6+ (to 2nd picot of that same pair on the previous round) 6-6 cl.

Repeat from * to *, joining the 1st picot of the 1st ring to the last picot of the last ring at each repeat. Don't forget on the last repeat to join the last picot of the last ring to the 1st picot of the 1st ring of the 1st repeat (is that a first or what?)

To finish, join the ending chain to the base of the first ring, tie off and cut.
