INTRODUCTION
Teaching children can be very exciting. There are several reasons why one can say that. The very first one is the feeling that the teacher is learning more than children are.
Secondly, children are really happy when they have a chance to learn a new language. Every new word in a different language makes them more curious about this “new English world”.
Last, but not least, is the fact that when teachers are working with young learners, they feel that their learners really want to listen to them and take part in the lesson. This makes the teacher feel like a “good teacher”.
Music plays a crucial role in education . It can be employed in the educational process of all learners regardless of their age. Moreover, music seems to be the best tool in teaching young children since they love singing and reciting rhymes. All the activities based on music are taken for granted by young learners. Music can be incorporated in teaching various subjects, but it is particularly valuable in teaching foreign languages.
Besides, singing is a happy, stress- free activity which contributes a great deal to a positive classroom learning environment. The sound of music brings into the world its magical power to activate the mind when it is in turmoil, and to heal the body when it hurts. Its magical power is the reason why children love to play with songs and rhymes even at an early age in life.
Flashcards are commonly used by teacher who work with small children. They create some kind of novelty and help to generate much of a language. With a help of flashcards learners are actively involved in the lesson and learning is becoming more effective. Teachers can use flashcards many times. Their use is something personal for each teacher to experiment with and the imagination of an individual teacher is very important in this case.

CONCLUSION
The aim of the thesis was to prove that using songs and flashcards as a central part of language lessons with young learners is an accurate means of teaching vocabulary to children. The author tried to analyse the importance of teaching vocabulary through using music and songs. Teachers know that children get bored very easily. It is possible to conclude with confidence that using music and flashcards to teach English vocabulary increases young students' attention and makes it easier and more enjoyable for them to learn.
In this paper the writer has examined different ways of using music and flashcards to teach new vocabulary. Children all over the world love listening to songs and most of them love singing too. Using songs and flashcards to introduce language and revise vocabulary is a great way to help children remember. Having a rhyme, music and actions helps to quickly pick up the vocabulary and retain it.
It goes without saying that the age of the students is a very important factor in the teacher's decision as to what and how to teach. Students of different ages possess different levels of learners' competence and needs. For example, children aged six need a small amount of control and a large amount of freedom. Fortunately, music and flashcards enable teachers to make the process of learning a foreign language more productive and effective. The use of music and flashcards is something personal for each teacher to experiment with. It makes the lesson unusual and much more interesting.
All in all, songs and flashcards are very helpful at the English lessons. They make foreign language lessons more efficient and pleasant for both the students and their teachers.
