ISAF soldier died in southern Afghanistan
KABUL, Afghanistan (February 17) - A soldier of the International Security Assistance Force died of wounds yesterday in southern Afghanistan.
“We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the soldier who died while working to bring peace and stability to Afghanistan,” said Brigadier General Richard Blanchette, ISAF Spokesperson. “We have lost a valuable member of our team and his loss will be felt across ISAF.”
It is ISAF policy not to release the nationality of any casualty prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
