ISAF service member dies in Eastern Afghanistan
KABUL, Afghanistan (February 16) - An International Security Assistance Force service member died today of wounds caused by indirect fire in Eastern Afghanistan.
“It is with great sadness that we must announce the loss of a fellow service member,” said Brigadier-General Richard Blanchette, ISAF Spokesperson.
“This service member's sacrifice was for a safe and stable Afghanistan. We remain committed to this end.”
It is ISAF policy not to release the nationality of any casualty prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
