Mass immigration is testing our tolerance
By Allison Pearson in the Telegraph
NB: if you’re reading it online, read only up to the section titled “Today’s pupils are in a stew...” The rest is entirely unrelated.

5/ Read the article again for a better understanding of the content, and the writer’s attitude.
6/ Questions for discussion:
What is the writer’s stance on immigration to the UK? Is she more for or against? Does she present a balanced argument? Does she show signs of bias?
What does she mean by ‘don’t get me started on Jews’, and the sentence that follows?
She discusses the case of Sanel Shabaz. Summarize what happened to Shabaz. Do you think something similar could happen in other European countries (like the countries that you’re familiar with)?
Consdier the paragraph starting with ‘Politicians have been in denial since...’ What does she mean by this paragraph? What’s her point? (I must admit that I’m a little confused by it myself).
Do you agree with her statement that ‘we are the teat that Eastern Europe comes to suckle on’?
If you could meet the writer, how would you respond? What points would you agree on? What would you disagree on?
