Hi VA,
I have a small task for you that involves making blog posts in wordpress with high on page SEO score.
My keywords for all blog posts are the same which is: Buy facebook fans
Here are the steps that you need to follow in order to make each individual blog posts:
Step 1
Take the keyword and enter it in the field of primary keyword in the Easy WP SEO plugin.
Step 2
Take the first article given to you in the zip folder. Check whether the article has a title at the beginning. If not, make sure to skim through the article and add a title.
If the article has a title, check whether the article title starts with keyword. If not, add the keyword in the beginning followed by a - . For instance, my article title given is How to buy Facebook fans?
Change it to:
Buy facebook fans - How to buy Facebook fans?
Step 3
Copy the article excluding the title and paste it in the here.
Step 4
Insert the Meta tags title, description and keyword.
Meta tag title is the same as the blog posts title.
Meta tag keyword is the same as the blog posts keywords.
Meta tag Description is the first sentence of the blog post content.
Meta Tag Description must have less than 160 characters. If it is more than 160 characters, make sure to change the sentence and make it below 160 characters. The first word of the description must also have the keyword in it. If it does not contain the keyword, make sure to add it.
Step 5
When you paste the content, most probably there will only be 1 heading for the article which is the title of the article. You should add 2 sub headings in the post. In wordpress, the 2 sub headings will be called heading 2 and heading 3. The subheading must have the keyword in it. Here is an example below:
Once you have written the 2 sub-headings, make sure to make it to heading 2 and heading 3 in wordpress. You can do that be selecting your subheading, and choosing heading 2. Here’s how to do it:
this will expand more options. Click on the drop down list where it says paragraph and there will be the option of heading 2 and heading 3. Now highlight the sentence you want to make it to heading 2 and then choose heading 2 from the drop down list. Do the same for heading 3. (Illustration below)
Step 6
Locate the keyword anywhere in the content and make it bold, italic and underlined.
Next, add an image to the blog post. In order to do that, go to google images, search with your keyword and save a small image. If you are concerned about copyright issue, add the keyword “stock photo” to your search.
Once you have downloaded the image, upload it in wordpress.
Select the file from your desktop. Once uploaded, here is the screen that you will get…make sure to add the keyword in the Title and Alternate Text.
Get rid of the link URL. Keep the alignment in left and size at Thumbnail. Once completed, click on Insert into Post button.
Step 7
Once all these steps are completed, click on the publish button.
Now, you should be seeing a SEO score in the top right corner of your screen.
If the SEO score is below 80%, then there are steps (from 1-6) that have not been completed successfully. In order to check, what steps you have missed, click on the tabs of Title, Meta, Heading or content and check for X marks.
If there is a cross mark (X) before any of these conditions, it means that the conditions have not been met. So try to make the amendments in order to fullfill those conditions.
Note: In rare cases, even after making the changes, the plugin does not put a check mark to it. Don’t waste too much time with one SEO condition. Move ahead.
For example in this case, even after the title is beginning with the keyword, it shows the X for that condition. Just ignore it.
