Rozmowa wstępna.
1a. I'm interested in new technology, because I think IT and other similar categories of
Science are our future.
1b. I'm not interested in new technology, because I'm interested in other things, like reading books, writing poems etc.
2. I use my computer for designing letterheads and banners, also for everyday use, which includes writing homework or chatting.
3. I use my mobile phone very often. I'm unable to take my eyes off it, because I'm still and still waiting for messages from my friends.
4. I surf the Internet, because it gives me pleasure. I meet there lots of friends and watch youtube videos. Sometimes somebody sends me an interesting thing, which he wants to share with me, and sometimes I do it.
5a. I write and read blogs, because it's a great way to spend free time. We can develop and share our interests.
5b. I don't write or read blogs, because I don't have a time for it and I prefer watching films to reading blogs.
Task 1.
Dangers: You must be aware of:
-viruses, key loggers,
-illegal software,
-unauthentic websites,
-hackers.
Security: to secure the computer you should have:
-antivirus,
-firewall,
-authentic software,
-if you are not sure, leave it whatever it is or ask somebody who is an expert.
Spam:
Spam is then, when there are messages with advertising coming to your e-mail. Antivirus will stop them.
Data storing:
-don't use portable drives without antivirus,
-defragment your discs.
Task 2.
In the picture I can see an angry person. He is destroying the keyboard. It's about 17 years old boy. He might be at school. He's sitting in front of the computer. In the background there are some windows.
2.1. It might be caused by a computer game. Maybe he lost it.
2.2. I would like to work with computers, because this gives me so much fun, and I learn new things every day.
2.3. Well, one day, my hard disk broke down. I went to the nearest computer shop and bought a new one. I had to spend a lot of money on it.
Task 3.
I would chose project no 2, because it is useful. You can repair your old shoes and save some money instead of spending them to buy new ones.
I reject others, because you can't get drown in the bath (I think), and there is no need to link vacuum cleaner and dishes together to make tea.
Task4.
4.1. No, they help us in everyday life, we can't call them enemies.
4.2. Electricity, because everything depends on it.
4.3. Yes, because some of them are not necessary in our flats.
4.4. Yes and no. Yes, because production speed is increased. No, because there will be no places to work, so people will have no money.
