This particular step covers the initial development of your site purely from an intended framework perspective. At this stage of the process, you simply want to ensure that you have everything mapped out in advance, so that you know exactly what your directory structure will look like, your sites navigation, and what platform you intend to use - a custom designed site or content management system.
This is only the first step towards the development of your site. At this point, there's no need to worry about onsite optimisation, as we will be covering that next.

ONSITE OPTIMISATION / WEBSITE COMPLETION
NOTATIONS
From here, it's important that you work your way through each page of your website and go about entering in your meta tag data. If you're using a turnkey content management solution like Wordpress, then this step may not apply. I highly encourage you to double check your site regardless.
What you need to focus on here is the inclusion of your title tags, H1 tags, meta description tags and keyword tags. Of course if you have your content completed, then begin publishing it and setting your tags as required.
In addition to this, you'll be creating both your robots.txt file and sitemap. Once this step is completed your site should be ready to go live. Once your site has been completed, it's always best to check over everything in detail to ensure there are no issues.
Lastly, consider outsourcing your press release. Its always best to wait until your site is live before requesting a press release as the writer may need to reference your site for information. By doing this in advance, you will be preventing delays later on.
