Action Plan Worksheet
#1) Determine your compelling goal. What would you dare to dream about achieving in the next year if you knew you couldn't fail? Write your answer down below (use the 1,3,5 year goal setting technique if you can't come up with an answer to this question)
#2) Take your goal and determine what the “five critical elements” are you'd have to master to achieve that goal. Write those down below.
#3) Of those five elements, which is the one that you are most excited about mastering first? Write that element below.
#4) Now take that element, and break it down into 3-5 key areas that you need to create systems for to master that element.
#5) Create systems or “self regulating habits” for each of those key areas. Write down the systems you come up with below. (the definition of system is that it's measurable, manageable, automated as much as possible, and orderly! The trick is to use reference guides and cultivate certain habits that you condition yourself to have to master each “key area” required to master that critical element)
#6) Practice those systems and habit forming tasks until they become unconscious! The idea at first is to get the system running properly and to use it continually... not on results!
#7)Once the system is up and running and able to be performed with little to no conscious thought, then start improving upon it to make it better.
#8) Continue improving until you reach a “level of acceptance” that you're happy with. Then no longer spend any time or resources on this system/habit.
#9) Once you have adequate systems for the first key element to get you the results you're satisfied with, move onto the second key element required to reach your goal in the least amount of time with the least amount of effort.
#10) Repeat this process until you have mastered every critical element, which will then allow you to reach your goal!
