RA: I’m playing Macduff m theu version of Macbeth, which is set ln a kitchen of a Michelon-starred res-tauiant. sort of ala Gordon Ramsay, so it's. it’s preity anarchie and. yeah. it's going to be ąuite excitmg. I m off tomorrow to do some research at Le Gavrocbe. I think lt is.

MW: Areyou? Okay. so m the kitchens?

RA: Yeab. well I. my character is actually headwaiter so I've got to sort of study the front of bouse stuff. So tbat should be interesting.

MW: How bizarre. and anything else’

RA: Aftet tbat I m going onto a project which has a work-ing tnie of The Golden Hour‘. whieb is about the...there^-s a team of trauma medical people tbat go out and fly to extreme traimia cases and. if necessary. perform serious major singery m the saeeL I think they only really exist m London and they've been aiound for about ten years. So that s. you know. there are going to be a four 90-minutes of portrayal of. you know. tbeir lives

MW: And is it true tbat befoie all tbis stuff bappened that you ran away to join the circus'^> Is that tnie. or is that...

RA: I. yeah. I kind of didnt. I didnt nui away (laughs) Weil. I suppose I did nrn away. 1.1 went to Bu-dapest to get an equity card because that was at the time wben you needed to. an eqiutv card to woik. so I d just finished my schoól in Covenny and went off to Budapest for six months

MW: Because 1.1 studied drama at umversity -

R.-\: Yeah

MW: and I have a funny feelrng this was. was this all kind. this kind of avant-garde-y sort of drama-y. cir-cus-y thing that you bad to do?

RA: It. it kind. yeah. it was like a movement theatre-type mime group.

MW: Did you feel. come on. honestly. just the two of us. did you feel quite silly domg it some of the orne? RA Ridiculously silly. yeah

MW: I felt absolute.. .they madę us dress in black leggmgs - (laughs)

RA: Black. yeah. yeah. black (laughs)

MW: and 1.1. you re probably too young to remember. but on. not the mnę o clock news. I think it was not the nme o'clock news. Rowan Atkmson used to stand there sometimes and go. my body is my tool’.

RA: Yeah. in black tlghts. yeah.

MW: Yes-
