Chenille stem
Measure up 4” from one end with thc wrong slde facing you and bring short end up to form a circle. Hołd between thumb and finger. This will form the circle for the center of the bow.
Gather at backside of circle and twist ribbon Vz turn to bring right side toward you. Use the next 9" of ribbon to make a 41/z’' loop. looping ribbon AWAY from you.
Gather and hołd between thumb and finger. Twist ribbon Vi turn to bring right side toward you.
Use the next 9 ' of ribbon tomake4,/2" loop, looping ribbon AWAY from you.
Hołd between thumb and finger and gather ribbon. Continue '/i twists. using 9” of ribbon for each loop, until 6 loops are com-pieted. ‘'Hołd on tight!"
Continue gatherlng, twisting and making loops, using 11” ot ribbon for each 5'/i” loop, until ribbon is completely used.
Optional tails: Gather at center of 2/a yard length and slip it under bow loops.
Insert chenille stem through center circle and bring ends to back. Hołd chenille stem tightly and turn bow to secure.
Separate loops by pulling one to one side and then one to the other side around bow. Continue until all loops are spaced evenly. Trim ends and talls as desired.
